Talstar P Mixing Instructions

Depending on what insects and pests you want to kill and the level of infestation, Talstar P should be diluted with varying amounts of water before applying. The best way to mix the insecticide is to fill the sprayer with half a gallon of water and then put the recommended amount of product according to label instructions before filling another half gallon. Leave it for some time to get mixed well and then spray it in the desired areas.

You should dilute about 0.125 to 1 fl. oz. in one gallon of water for treating gardens. Mild infestations would need 0.33 to 0.5 fl. oz. of the product diluted in one gallon of water. One should consider mixing 0.5 fl. oz. of the product with one gallon of water for indoor application. However, severe infestations would need about 1 fl. oz. of the insecticide diluted in one gallon of water. It is recommended not to mix more than 1 fl. oz per gallon.

Regardless of the concentration, one gallon of the mixture treats approximately 1000 square feet of area for infestation.

Talstar P Vs Tempo SC – How They Compare?

Both Talstar P and Tempo SC are broad spectrum insecticides that effectively control a large variety of indoor and outdoor pests. They are powerful insecticides with a long-lasting effect. While Talstar P contains an active ingredient called Bifentherin along with other chemicals for a powerful knockdown effect, the active component in Tempo SC is Beta-Cyfluthrin with other chemicals.

Talstar P is available in granular form, liquid spray and aerosol spray while Tempo SC comes as a liquid spray for controlled application. What makes the two insecticides different is their use. While Talstar P suits small-scale indoor and outdoor infestations and pest control, Tempo SC is intended to treat large infestations. Both these products are toxic for pets, animals, humans, fish and birds and should be used with safety precautions.

Deciding which of the two is better depends entirely on the infestation and usage. Both the products are reported to deliver satisfactory results and preferred by homeowners and agricultural workers.
